THE  AGORA : THE TEMPLE OF HEPHAISTOS

The temple of Hephaïstos was built between 449 and 444 B.C, it was dedicated to the god of the forge, indeed, smelters,  bronze smiths settled in the Agora very early on.
These photos were taken in 1981 when one could still enter the temple.
