THE IONIC  STYLE FRIEZES

The frieze of the pediment itself is presently difficult to see ; but it seems to be fairly well preserved; there is a photograph of it down below which was taken in 1981, when it was free of access. The riders are getting ready for the procession. Some have already mounted their horses.
